The Creative Mind
The story begins back in 1982, when the architect Rena Santamouri was born.
From the moment she first picked up a pencil, she forgot to put it down—covering every inch of any flat surface she could find!
Her dream came true in 2006, when she graduated from the School of Architecture at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece.
During 2003–2004, she worked for the Athens Olympic Games in the City Operations Department as a designer for the “Look of the City” program.
She has been practicing architecture ever since, focusing on Detailed Construction Design, Architectural Design & Remodeling, as well as Interior & Object Design. She has participated in several domestic and international competitions, winning First Prize for the redesign of Kapnergati Square in Kavala, Greece, and a Special Mention for the Scorponeri Garden City project in Boeotia, Greece.
Since 2006, she has specialized in Building Envelope and Detailed Façade Construction Design. Working as a Senior Architect and Design Team Leader for Alutotal S.A., she has contributed to numerous large-scale projects across Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, India, and Greece.
In 2017, she founded her own practice, RS Architecture + Design Studio. The studio collaborates with experienced professionals—including architects, designers, and civil engineers—who bring years of expertise from top architectural and construction firms in Greece and abroad.
Expanding her creative horizons into the performing arts, she co-founded Medea Pictures in 2020. Since then, she has also been actively involved with DROMOS Theatre, serving as a Producer and Art Director, where she blends architectural spatial design with theatrical aesthetics to shape compelling stage experiences.
Guess what…
Rena Santamouri never put the pencil down!
