Enthusiastic Reception at DROMOS Theatre

The atmosphere in the auditorium was electric from early on, with tickets completely selling out days before opening night. Based on a free adaptation inspired by Stefanos Lineos, the performance captivated the audience by delivering a fresh, incisive, yet deeply human take on daily routine, conformity, and the innate desire for personal freedom.

The Story: Breaking the Rules

At the heart of the play is Albert Best (Manthos Kalantzis), a highly respectable, punctual, and reliable bank assistant manager adhering to strict British standards. One morning, he decides to do the unthinkable: he skips work to stay home and study music.

This single choice creates immense turmoil within the banking system, turning him into a media-hailed hero for working-class employees. At the same time, it touches the heart of his cold colleague, Beth Simons (Styliani Kleidona), who discovers a shared sensibility within herself. However, Wolf Bank does not leave matters to chance—deploying corporate crisis-management tactics, including buyouts, favors, and subtle threats, to manipulate the situation back to its own advantage.
