DROMOS THEATRE, MEDEA PICTURES and the MEDEA THEATRE GROUP announce the start of a 6-month theatre workshop, running from November 2024 to June 2025 for drama school graduate actors, focusing on “TITUS ANDRONICUS” by William Shakespeare, with the aim of creating a production for 12 performances at DROMOS Theatre in OCTOBER 2025.

In this theatre workshop, a study will be conducted on this specific play by William Shakespeare. We will work on core acting themes of Elizabethan theatre and explore the early stages of realism.

Our goal in each session is to work on specific themes of the play and core pillars of acting, such as focus, imagination, action, circumstances, event, and relationships.

Upon completion of the workshop, final selection and casting will take place, followed by intensive rehearsals to present the play in October 2025. It goes without saying—though we are obliged to state it—that for all 16 performances, actors will receive payment per performance as well as insurance coverage.

In this Theatre Workshop:

  • Some homework / at-home preparation hours are expected.
  • Scene discussions will take place, and we will improvise based on requested themes.
  • Exercises for perception and focus.
  • Trying out conditions required by the scenes, improvising, and acting.

The Theatre Workshop is led by director Emmanouil G. Mavros. For information and biography, you can visit the DROMOS Theatre website.

Previous experience with William Shakespeare’s texts is not required, nor is prior knowledge of this specific play.
