Medea Pictures Announces Cooperation with “AITHOUSA 10” Theatre Group
Medea Pictures welcomes the “AITHOUSA 10” (Room 10) theatre group to collaborate on cultural proposals, actions, and theatrical productions. The group will be housed at DROMOS Theatre.
The “Aithousa 10” group was formed in 2017 by amateur actors who wished to explore the art of theatre through acting seminars. Today, most members of the group have graduated from drama schools and are active members of the Greek Actors Union (S.E.H.). In 2020, “AITHOUSA 10” transitioned from an experimental amateur group into a professional ensemble, obtaining a permanent home at DROMOS Theatre, with production management handled by the team of the non-profit organization MEDEA: IMAGES, THEATRE AND CULTURAL ACTIONS – Medea Pictures (Ministry of Culture Reg. No. 11930), thereby broadening their creative horizons.
The “AITHOUSA 10” theatre group has presented its work at various theatre festivals with the following productions:
- “Study on Macbeth”, based on the play Macbeth by William Shakespeare
- “The Soothing System”, by Edgar Allan Poe
- “Either the Shore is Crooked or We are Sailing Wrong” (Ή στραβός είναι ο γιαλός ή στραβά αρμενίζουμε)
- “Living Souls, See How Much They Resemble One Another” (Ψυχές ζώσες, να δείτε πόσο μοιάζουν μεταξύ τους)
- “The Shoemaker and the Elves” (musical fairytale)
- “The Steadfast Tin Soldier” (musical fairytale)
All works were conceived, composed, and directed by actor/musician Lili Tegou. The objective of this ensemble is the creation of performances rooted in improvisation and interaction.
