Medea Pictures Announces the Opening of DROMOS Theatre
Medea Pictures is pleased to announce that it has leased a theatrical space at 25 Agiou Meletiou Street in Kypseli. The new DROMOS Theatre aspires to become an arts hub for everyone who feels the need to express themselves freely and share that expression with the audience.
In this world, every step is a life-defining decision. So, in a world where dreams are diminishing, we made ours a reality—to offer a platform for freedom and expression, catharsis for the soul, and kind words. The impact of rapid social and economic changes on our daily lives, along with the formation of a society defined by insecurity and risk, creates the psychosocial backdrop that fuels acts of violence on the streets, directly or indirectly centered around the social crisis. We encourage you, therefore, to step outside and join us on our ROAD (Dromos), so that together we can weave the web of knowledge, creativity, freedom, friendship, love, passion, and smiles—suppressing violence of every kind by fighting back with thought and knowledge…
The stage of DROMOS is open to all who seek to highlight both new and classic works, alongside the artistic pursuits of directors and actors.
Designed after the small alternative underground theatres of London, DROMOS Theatre—with its subtitle “arts hub”—was created with a single thought in mind:
A free platform of expression for everyone!
With a foyer designed to become an arts hub—a meeting place for entertainment, conversation, good coffee, and drinks—it will host much more than theatrical performances and its Theatre Workshop. DROMOS Theatre will also host film nights, painting, photography, and sculpture exhibitions, book launches, dramatic and literary readings, as well as every artistic activity within its capacity.
